Robert Lofthouse I have written a bunch of sports stories but never sat down to write a book. But I wanted to do that and I needed to find a subject. Once I settled on my subject, figuring out what to include was academic for me. You've got to love your subject and love your ability to tell a story, then the concepts and storyline will be easy to find.
Robert Lofthouse I like the creativity. Even though my first book was a biography, it took some creativity to pull the full story together, researching source material, verifying information, assembling the story arcs. When you begin to put that together, you'll get excited about writing more!
Robert Lofthouse Develop a self-disciplined approach to writing what you want to write. Keep with this regular writing time. Use it to write, make notes, formulate your ideas, or do research. But spend that time judiciously every day without fail. Before you know it, you'll have a draft of your manuscript ready to polish.
