What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Jen Smith Making a whole new world, and hopefully *hopefully* someone loving it as much as I do.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Jen Smith I'm a planner, and this doesn't work for everyone, but PLAN PLAN PLAN. Plan your characters, your settings, your plot beats, everything. Know your characters inside out. I know other writers say their characters surprise them, but mine never do because I know them so well.

What are you currently working on?
Jen Smith I'm actually working on aging up a YA Paranormal Romance that I wrote a few years ago - it's going to be Adult Fantasy, and I'm super excited about it!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Jen Smith I like to start with a setting, and I love castles so it was kind of a no brainer to start there with me. I'm a planner, so creating Quinn and finding her motivation quite naturally to the plot.
