Sunflowers Beneath the Snow is a women's fiction/historical fiction novel based ever-so-slightly on a true story of my youngest daughter's friend from Ukraine. A majority of the story is complete fiction. However, the surprise ending is true, and I felt it needed to be told.

Characters come to me with a story they want to have written, so I write it. I don’t follow an outline or a grid or tropes. I simply write the story. My goal is to connect my readers with characters they’d love to invite to lunch.
