Paula Pedene Each week I write a Veterans Voice Column for the Arizona Republic. It is published each Friday in the Community Section of the print edition. I'm thinking of profiling my book in an upcoming column as I have two book signings upcoming, one at Changing Hands in Phoenix on Oct. 7 from 6 to 7 p.m. and the other at Barnes and Nobile on Oct. 29 at Chandler Fashion Center from 1 to 4 p.m.

Paula Pedene Through a personal struggle in dealing with unethical leaders. It seems that each day, there is a new story about the lack of ethics amongst leaders and how challenging it is to get them to admit or change their unethical behavior. My memoir highlights the personal journey inside the VA to get leaders who were delaying health care for veterans to stop. Spoiler alert, I did it, but it was a harrowing ride!
