I take myself away to a quiet place in the house. I have a lovely view out over the garden which creates a calmness. I often take notes of little things that have happened so that they can give me some inspiration in a story line.

Just start writing! See where it takes you. For me I just sat down one day at my laptop and wrote my first sentence. I had no idea where the story was going to take me but it developed as I went along. I never thought I would actually end up holding my book in my hand but I did. I think there is a story in all of us.

I have travelled throughout France over the last 30 years and it holds many memories for me. It was easy to start describing the places in my first book as I have visited them all.

I am currently working on my next book! Another story based in France but very different from my first book. First draft of the manuscript is completed but there will be a few re-writes to come!
