Digvijay Shahi The importance of the teacher-student relationship in ancient Indian mythology is unparalleled. There are stories of student archers who have given up their thumbs for their teachers and students who have been cursed for life for a trivial mistake. The value of education and teachers is amazing in the Hindu mythological texts, apparently forgotten in the modern system. On national teacher's day (5th of Sep), I got the idea of compiling a few of these stories for a quick read.
Digvijay Shahi Two-word answer - By reading.
Digvijay Shahi Except for my blog and a kindle version of a short story compilation, I am working (for a long long time) on my first mythological novel. Fingers crossed.
Digvijay Shahi This is easy. The feeling of looking at the blinking cursor on a blank page in front of you and your two index fingers caressing the little bumps on the 'F and the 'J keys, while the other eight are steady on the keyboard for the most adventurous race - writing!
Digvijay Shahi I read what I had written before. That brings me in the flow of the story and helps my mind creating ideas for the next sentence. If It does not work, I start reading other books that relate to my writing (generally ancient Indian mythological works). The poetic and fantastic writing of the ancient poets inspire me and then my brain starts to work on the beast mode.
