Hello, Sabrina! Apologies for taking so long to get back to this question--I didn't realize you'd sent it! YES, my book is clean. There's no sexual content or foul language. There are some violent action scenes, but none of it is gory at all. It would be appropriate for teenagers 13+.

Flannery O'Connor once said, “I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say.” As something who expresses herself far better through writing than speaking, I'm pretty sure THIS is the best thing about being a writer! Sometimes I even find out what I really think and believe through the lives and mindsets of my own characters--so this is NOT limited to nonfiction writing, either.

Take me to Wendell Berry's world of Port William and its surrounding towns, please! I love the fact that it's such an organic, real-life small town setting--and full of some of the most realistic characters I've ever encountered.
