Hi! My advice to aspiring writers is to read a lot of books, not only in the genre you're writing for, but in other genres. You'll see how other authors structure sentences, scenes, and chapters. You'll also see how they build plot and characters.

I step away from my laptop, go for long walks or work in my garden, or I'll read a book. Anything to get my mind off my work-in-progress. Often times, when I'm not focusing on my stories, I figure out what's causing the block. Chocolate also helps.

I'd attend Hogwarts, because I'm sure I'd receive an invite. I'd attend class, make friends, and export the castle and Hogsmeade.
