The pen is such a powerful thing. Obviously, you can write pretty much what you want as long as it isn't slanderous. I think writing has the power to change people's thoughts and opinions. It can resonate with people. I just saw the insights on the first poem in my collection as I published it on Instagram and it was bookmarked/favourited by 43 people. That's amazing to me.

Write from your heart. Write about the things you care about. Take a course. Branch outside of the genres you're comfortable with. Just experiment with your writing. It's possible you might be great at something that you never thought you would be.

I'm working on a few different things. I'm still writing poetry. I actually have another book in the works which is through an international agency. I'm currently trying to write a romance novel, I'm working on a sci-fi novel and a crime fiction novel. I'm also contributing to a friends book.

Anything can inspire me. It just depends on the moment. I'm a restless sleeper and I woke up in the middle of the night. Whilst I was trying to sleep I had an idea so jotted it down. Just the premise and fell back asleep. Music, TV, books, conversation and even people I love are my inspirations.
