Two books by Venezuelan author Boris Izaguirre. I finished "Un jardín al norte" which I loved. I started "Dos monstruos juntos" and I'm only one third through it. I just can't get into it. They were two very different reads.

It's cliché. Keep writing. I wrote a lot when I was between 14 and 26 and then I stopped for the most part because life happens. Don't stop. Getting started is tough.

I have two methods. One of them is to walk away from a text I've been working on and take time off. By the time I come back to it, I've usually come up with something to write in my head. Number two: sit down and write whatever comes out. Maybe it's crap, but maybe not.

I'm working on the follow-up novel to Star of Madrid. The first draft is about 40 k words right now. I'm also working on the prequel which is basically written but needs a lot of work.
