David Albright I principally identify myself as a scientist who writes. I find the discipline of writing helps identify problems and figure out solutions. I also currently like to develop more sophisticated sentences that can convey ideas and information better and hopefully in a more interesting manner.
David Albright Much of the inspiration comes at night; I wake up with ideas, see connections, and have thoughts that I want to write up. Beyond that, my Institute is structured around writing reports, a structure with deadlines that stimulates me to finish works.
David Albright The idea for the book on Iran came from Andrea Stricker, who rightly asked me to consider consolidating a series of reports on the Nuclear Archive, filling in the holes not covered in those reports, and extending the analysis of Iran's nuclear weapons efforts up to today. I reluctantly agreed but soon realized the value of producing this book. Filling the holes and bringing the book up to today turned out to be a huge undertaking.
