I'm working on a series of books about K-9 heroes - the life of bomb dogs before, during, and after deployment. It's written from the point of view of dogs, and that makes it great fun!

Just write. If that's what you need to do, write the best you can. Finish it, then come back to review it and make it better. Don't let the fact that it isn't perfect paralyze you. First drafts never are.

The best thing about being a writer is that you can bring back to life those you loved and lost. I wrote my beloved dog Gypsy into one of my thriller, and that gave me so much joy! I felt like she was with me again! It felt so wonderful that I ended up writing a whole book about her.
