hi lily! i'm so excited for moth's book coming out next week! i wanted to ask how long your writing process usually takes, and how long it takes for you to release a new book? do you usually work when inspiration strikes or do you have a fixed schedule you set for yourself? also been loving all your works so far, i hope you're taking care of yourself in these times! :)

Lily Mayne Hi, thank you so much for your kind message! Well, since publishing my debut I've been putting out a book around every three months, but I think I will slow that down a bit this year. It's a lot!! I tend to work when inspiration strikes or I get ideas for random little scenes in my head, I'm not too rigid about word goals for the day or setting myself deadlines, but I know that works really well for some people :)

Hi! Can I just say that I LOVE your monstrous series! Like they are my comfort reads atm. But I have to ask, will Samson have his HEA? My heart BLEEDS for that poor cinnamon roll, he is just too precious and so so brave. He needs a fierce monster to protect him and show him his selfless actions deserve reward. Maybe Orlith? 👀

Hii Lily, when can we expect the second Folk book? I cannot stop myself from obsessing over what will happen next (a side effect of an intense cliffhanger). Also, will you be sending out any ARCs?

Lily Mayne Thank you! Book two will be out around May/June time! I'm not sure about ARCs, I haven't before so I don't know if I will with this one. Thank you for asking, though :)

Hi. I really loved the Monstrous series. would there be audiobooks for it, as well?

Lily Mayne Possibly in the future! It's not something I'm looking into at the moment.

I love your monstrous series. What a safe way to explore loving and accepting others no matter how they look or identify. Such a strong message of love and acceptance. I can’t get enough of this series because of the fantastic characters, world and story telling. I know you are f working on a book for another series so I will just have to patiently wait until you pivot back to this series. How long do you think?

It would be so cool if Danny got Wyn pregnant and they raised a baby telyth together! After I read Moth’s story and he promised Charlie that he couldn’t get him pregnant, it made me think about Wyn and Danny. I like mpreg books. So is it a possibility?

Lily Mayne No, it's not. Danny can't get Wyn pregnant. There will be no pregnancy or babies in the series. :)

hey lily why is "wyn" not connected to the other books? its a standalone on the amazon marketplace

Lily Mayne Hello! It's a novella, not part of the main series, but should still be read after the first three books. It's technically 3.5 in the series :)

Hey Lily! I have to say your books are outstanding! I really read alot during the year and you are one of the top writers in my list. I cant wait for more stories and i hope there will be way more to come :) Do you solely focus on the soul eater universe for now? And did you write the Soul eater under a different pen name? I ask bcs i think i read it sometime ago (years ago but im unsure)

Lily Mayne Hi, thanks so much and glad you have enjoyed the books. Firstly: no, I have never published Soul Eater in any other format or under any other name before March 2021. If there is a book out there that is in any way remotely similar, that is pure coincidence and I have not read it and am not aware of it.

I have other series in the works, but my main focus at the moment is the Monstrous series. I will probably switch between writing projects though, which means I will likely start other series while the Monstrous series is ongoing.

Lily Mayne Hi! Thank you! Yes, Cat will get a book and his own monster :) Next up will be a novella for Danny and Wyn, then we'll get Rig's book, then Moth and Lilac will each get books (not sure whose will come first yet) and THEN Cat will finally get his story :D
