Without wishing to sound smug, I don't really suffer from this. I have always been very fortunate that I can turn my creativity switch on an off pretty much at will.

Just decide to do it.
I've written extensively over the years for my two careers - the first in media, TV, Film and Online, and the second in education. I've written lots of articles and even for some of the satirical websites, but writing a book is a much bigger project.
You have to really want to do it, but if you do, just get stuck in!

I am currently writing a sci-fi epic rollercoaster action novel aimed at teens to adults, and I am very pleased with how it is progressing so far...

I've loved Holmes since I was a boy, and although I enjoy many pastiches, I wanted to try and write some as close in style as possible to the originals for "proper" Sherlock fans!
