The best part about being a writer is playing around with my imagination and putting it into words. On top of that, as I'm writing and editing, I love reading back on what I've written and thinking to myself, "Wow! I did that!"

I started writing Fool's Gold when I was 15 years old and it took about 6 years to finish. At the time, I took inspiration from period dramas and a couple of my favorite shows at the time. It took so long for me to finish because, at such a young age, I had no idea how to go about portraying the topics discussed in the book. But out of all of the manuscripts I had, Fool's Gold was the one that went through the most changes. For my 2021 New Year's resolution, I finally decided that it would be the year that I published my first book and, on March 21, 2021, my work was officially released.

My imagination is constantly going 24/7, 365. I'm thinking about what I want for my current work as well as future manuscripts. I love the feeling of forming words and sentences to create my stories and then look back at my progress as I'm editing and seeing how I can enhance it even more.

My best advice is to just do it if writing and publishing is truly your passion. The anxiety of putting your first book out there is certainly real. But once you hold your work in your hands for the first time, it will be the most surreal feeling in the world knowing that you spent all that time and energy creating something you can finally share with the world.

As someone who has a bad habit of staying inside a lot, I combat writer's block by taking a break from my work and going outside for a bit. I visit a bookstore, go for a walk, exercise, read a book and basically anything that will refresh my brain.

I'm currently working on the sequel of Fool's Gold, Fool's Fortune! It's available now on Kindle for pre-order and will release on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and paperback on Christmas 2022.
