Nothing has captured my imagination as much as the interesting transiting lands atop Enid Blyton's 'The Faraway Tree'. It is my most favourite book ever!
I'd have loved to visit the enchanted forest, make friends with Moon-Face, The Saucepan Man, and Silky! Together we'd explore the different lands that appear on top of the faraway tree, and live the fantasies of my childhood!

I have a day job, which sometimes keeps me busy till late night. Hence, I have to find time to write. Which means, of the hour or half of respite I get during the day, I have to cram in all the writing which I can.
So no time to suffer writer's block, as by the time I get to writing, I'm teeming with thoughts collected over the entire day. The struggle is in remembering those many thoughts!

I was always fascinated with writing. Even during my school days, I was encouraged by my teacher, friends and family to write. Ever since she knows me, my wife also has been asking me to write: a blog, an article, anything.
Unfortunately I was too tied up in working life to ever put pen to paper. The COVID-19 lockdowns gave a new perspective to life, and I got down to writing the book, an idea for which I'd carried in my mind since 2014.

One day, I was waiting outside my son's pre-school to take him back home. His teacher called out to me, "Shlok's Dad?"; hearing that I felt this sounds like a good name for a book.
It struck me that most parenting books are written from the mother's point of view. So I thought it would be a nice idea to write about parenthood from the father's perspective.
