Kortney Keisel Yes! Someday. I just haven't found the right fit yet. Hopefully soon because this trope is definitely on my radar!
Kortney Keisel Not a sequel but a similar book where Park and Lacee make an appearance!
Kortney Keisel I would most likely stay self-published. I like being in control of every detail of my books. I like that I can publish a book when I want, and I like that there is no middle man taking a cut of my money.
Kortney Keisel Sorry, I just am seeing your questions! I think the biggest con to self-publishing is that you are in charge of your own marketing. I like the marketing side, but it does get exhausting trying to learn about Amazon ads and coming up with ways to reach new readers. But even with all of that, I would still recommend self-publishing.
Kortney Keisel Sorry I am just seeing this. I usually put out arc team requests on Instagram one month before a book releases. It's more of a launch team than an arc team so members are not only expected to read and review the book but are also supposed to post about it on social media to spread the word. I use a new arc team for every book. You can follow me on Instagram @authorkortneykeisel
Kortney Keisel Hi! I'm so glad you love my books! Thanks for your question. I don't have any concrete plans for which kingdom is up next. As of right now, the story in my head would be fifty years or so later. So any overlapping characters would only be a mention of names, but not actual characters in the book.
Kortney Keisel When I am done with the Desolation series, I hope to have one novella that takes place during Desolation, and then a book for every kingdom. So in total there will be eight books for the series. I won't start working on the 5th book until fall of 2022.
Kortney Keisel Sorry I just saw this question. My books don't have any fantasy elements in it like what you mentioned. They are basically contemporary books set in a dystopian setting. They are heavy on the romance...light on the dystopia.
Kortney Keisel Thanks for your question! All of my books in the Desolation Series are about the same level of clean and will continue to be. There will be some kiss scenes, an awkward moment when the man has his shirt off (not in a sexual way), there might be one or two innuendos, there might be a death or two, and MAYBE one small swear word. I would say my books are around PG to a PG-13 rating on some scenes, but they won't get steamier as you read through the series. My goal is to be able to hand my 12 year-old-daughter what I am writing. I hope this answer helps.
