It may sound counterintuitive, but I write my way through it. It doesn't matter if you think you're blocked and can't write anything "good"- write anyway. Also it helps to sit in meditation and connect with myself and Mother Nature- there's always an endless fountain of inspiration if you take time to dive into your heart and look around at all the miracles constantly happening around you.

The idea came from my soul - when I had my first encounter with grief I felt this deep calling to write an honest book on the experience of grief so others wouldn't feel so alone in their grieving and like such a mess, like I did. It was more of a directive from the Universe than an idea, really- I felt the pain and I tried my hardest to spill it all on the pages of 'A Dirty Word Called Grief.'

I just sit still and pay attention- to nature around me, to what stirs inside me, to the messages that come streaming in through the ether. Inspiration is everywhere- you just have to pay attention.
