People usually. I have had the privilege of being with people in some of the most intimate moments of their lives. At the beginning of life, end of death, and everything in between. Real life experience inspires me. Travelling and experiencing cultures and food and people I never imagined before.

I listen to Eminem, Coldplay and Tupac (in that order). Then I call Mary Jayne to see if she's got any answers. If all else fails, I start writing unpublished letters to my enemies. I usually find my rhythm.

I have a lot of re-reads I want to get to. Rory just turned seven and I bought him a pocket edition of the Hobbit. I want to read it to him before we get to the Lord of the Rings. I was telling someone recently that CS Lewis actually dedicated The Screwtape Letters to Tolkien. I bought a copy for Rory's uncle Rob. He's always reminded me a bit of Screwtape. :)
