Shapeshifters is actually based on a game my sister and I used to play. We pretended we had to do all these different trials to become the Supreme Animal Shifter (SAS) and I decided to take that idea and write a book. I combined the SAS game as well as the Warriors cats series by Erin Hunter to create the basis of Shapeshifters.

I would love to go to Fablehaven around the summer solstice, but I'd be smart and not open any windows the night before. I want to explore all over, with the correct provisions. I would play tennis with the satyrs, throw pumpkins with the golems, attempt to milk the giant cow, and much more.
