Growing up, "Narnia" would've been my answer without hesitation. But the further into writing The Tunockian Chronicles that Joshua and I get, the more I'd love to visit Tunock, Nilvanria, or any of the places in our books. Exploring those worlds, tasting the food, and taking in the colors and fashion; that would be a dream.

Our most recent completed work is The Silver Dragon, which will be published in the dark fantasy anthology "Where Giants Fall" (coming 2022). It's a very heavy story that was born after the loss of our daughter in the summer of 2021. I had been having trouble sleeping in the immediate weeks after her stillbirth, and in the night, I kept waking up to a dream that involved a silver dragon. I don't remember anything specific about the dream, but for some reason, I hung on to that image and started writing in the middle of the night about my Silver Dragon. Joshua and I finished it exactly one month after losing our baby girl. It is a very emotionally-driven story that deals with the confusion and anger that we go through in the wake of loss and the Light that pulls us through. Joshua and I hope that anyone who reads it can feel the hug we are sending through the story and that it helps you heal from your own grief.

There are really only two books that I am ecstatic to read in the summer of 2022...The Summer We Forgot by Caroline George and From These Dark Depths by Vanessa Rasanen (a sequel that I have my fingers crossed will come in 2022!).

Joshua and I are currently drafting book 2 and book 3 in the Tunokian Chronicles (titles not announced yet)! We have found that working on both books at the same time helps us to keep all of the fantasy facts straight.
