Elizabeth M. Lykins Thinking about writer's block will never improve the block. Getting out of one's head is the cure for writer's block or any other problem that one faces. Thinking your way out of it, only makes it worse. Inspiration will flow through you, when you get out of your own way. Eliminating distractions can help to create a more reflective space for you to allow ideas to rise up from within. Maintaining access to your inner voice generally requires silence and listening.
Elizabeth M. Lykins The best thing about writing is being in communication with your inner voice, which who you really are. Whatever subject you choose to write about does not matter. How you see the subject and interpret it, is unique to you.
Elizabeth M. Lykins Allow your truth to be heard. What you have to say to the world is unique and important. You may not always see how your words impact others, but make no mistake... they do have an impact. The best way to allow your voice to be heard is to keep writing. Never allow the opinion of others to extinguish the light inside of you.
Elizabeth M. Lykins I am the publisher of Magnificent Metamorphosis Magazine (https://www.magsfast.com/Magazines/Ma...) , a quarterly digital magazine available on the App Store and Google Play. The idea is to inspire the subscribers with positive articles on Mindfulness, Arts and Music, People for Positive Change, Healthy Living, and Passion Business ideas. Acquiring content for this ongoing work, keeps me constantly creating and seeking inspiring articles.
Elizabeth M. Lykins Firstly, it must be understood that inspiration can only come from within. Seeking inspiration by thinking does not really help with that process. I am inspired by being very still and not thinking. Listening to the rhythmic waves at the ocean shore, listening to a babbling brook, watching birds in the trees.... these get me out of my head and allow me to listen to my inner wisdom rising up. When I do this, words flow from within me, and are more powerful that what I could have come up with from the memory bank of my thoughts.
Elizabeth M. Lykins I felt that it was important for me to create a forum where readers could feel inspired to look within and to trust their own wisdom, instead of seeking it outside of themselves. I teamed up with renowned expressionist artist, Steve Lyons (https://stevelyonsart.com/gallery), to include many of his powerful paintings to assist with that premise, in a more visual way. Reflections on Transcendence arose from that little feeling inside.
