Usually, when I have writer's block I am tired and need a nap. I put the laptop down and rest. If that doesn't work, I play the piano or guitar. I forget about the book and let my mind flow in a completely different direction.

Doing something that I truly love. I love it when someone tells me that they enjoyed my book. For me, that's what writing is all about. I love spinning the stories and figuring out how to make the mystery flow.

I have book three in the series, Memories, Murder and Small Town Money coming out at the end of the month. I am tying up all the loose ends with it. I have book four, the Christmas cozy, coming out in November and I am working with the cover designer and finishing the editing on it. It is Merry Murder and Small Town Santas.
I am also writing book number five which I plan on releasing in February. I try to work on all three projects every day except Sundays which I take off.

The ideas build up inside of me and need to come out. I usually get up early in the morning when my husband leaves for work and before my grandson comes over to start homeschooling. I fix an iced coffee, read the last chapter I wrote and it starts to flow.

I am currently writing book number five in the Katy Cross Cozy Mystery Series. My husband and I start figuring out where a body could be found that would be interesting then the rest just grows from this.
