N.E. Carlisle Yes! So glad you'd like to read more! The second book in the series should be out by June 2021 (if not sooner).

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

N.E. Carlisle My advice for aspiring writers is to view yourself as a writer. Claim the writer identity. That's step one. Say it out loud, then write. There's some reason you want to write - so do that. Remember that your voice is unique and special even if other people don't quite like it. The battleground is external versus internal validation. You can do it!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

The best thing about being a writer is the freedom. The only limits on the page are my imagination. I don't journal, but I love to process the events of the day in fanciful imaginary ways.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

N.E. Carlisle When I'm experiencing writer's block I take a break from writing. I either do something that is very physical (outdoors) or something monotonous like cleaning. It frees up my brain space.
