David Basnett I did a little role-playing now and again when I was younger and thought the richness of Tolkien's Middle Earth made it a fascinating place. Seeing the Shire, Bree, Rivendell and Gondor would be canny good. Not sure about Shelob's Lair, Mirkwood, or Mordor though...
David Basnett It exists. Some of the best writers throughout history have admitted to suffering from it – so who am I to suggest otherwise? David Basnett I'm working on the second draft of my adult horror novel Ravensdowne. It's a big change from the Young Adult genre so I'm a bit nervous and taking my time to (hopefully) get it right.
David Basnett The best thing for me is seeing reviews from people across the other side of the world who have really enjoyed one of my books. It makes all the hard work worthwhile - so thank you!
