I had been on the road traveling through Central America, South America and Africa. When I arrived in Sri Lanka, I had the epiphany that I wanted to share a story to inspire others to get out there and see the world. Traveling and immersing myself in other cultures has changed me as a person. I believe everyone could use a little of that.

It's been said before, but "just write". If you need to outline first a little like me, great, but once you start writing, don't worry too much about perfection on draft one. Just let the creative juices flow and write, write, write.

If I'm having trouble working through something on my computer, I find it's best to just turn it off and go for a looooong walk in the woods. By hour two, I've worked through most "life" things in my head and find a renewed sense of clarity. Then I can think about my book anew. Also, naps are good.

Any fictional book world? Oh, that's a tough one. I'd love to visit the "Oasis" in Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist.

Right now I'm mostly focused on finishing the second book in my The Travelers Within series. Hopefully, I'll time to get back to reading this autumn!
