J.C. Anderson If I was looking to write a comedic suspense, I would look to the mysterious happenings in my own home. I watched my son turn off the light in his closet and close the door. Yet minutes later, the light was back on and the door was opened. I opened my closet door to help the heat circulate. A few minutes later, the door is closed. My cell was in my pocket. I go upstairs and its nowhere to found. Where do I find it? In the dishwasher, of all places. I think my house is hunted. But, it could just be my own forgetfulness.
J.C. Anderson My idea came from a short story series I had (i.e Experience First and Lessons Applied). I'd written the two short stories and thought, I could go all the way with this. Why not figure out how this ends for Sean and Agatha? So, I kept writing until I had a full story.
J.C. Anderson I've been lucky in that I don't really need much inspiration. I just want to get the stories that are in my head out on paper. Sometimes it keeps me awake. So, I just want to sleep better, really. Lol...
J.C. Anderson I just released my novella, Infinite Possibilities. So, I am marketing and trying to get my name out there. I have also excepted a ghost writer job and I am working on that story for the client. Sometimes, it is hard to balance it all.
J.C. Anderson The best thing about being a writer is the freedom to create whatever I want to create. My characters tend to be an extension of myself and I love that I don't have to apologize for what they become.
J.C. Anderson I mainly experience writer's block when I've been writing for a while and I come to a point where I don't know where the stories going anymore. So, I stop writing and take a break. I know that's somewhat of the cardinal sin. But, I normally hit a wall when I am tired. I'd rather stop writing and take a break, even for a few days, rather than force myself to write and end up with straight garbage that I can't any sense out of.
J.C. Anderson She woke up and realized the pandemic wasn't over. Then, she turned over, and all five of her children started screaming, "what's for breakfast," as their sticky hands left prints all over her white, down comforter. Aahhhhhhhhh!!!:)
J.C. Anderson I would travel to the world depicted in The Shack by William P. Young. Though the story itself was extremely painful to read and view, if you saw the movie, the setting was beautiful. Almost pulled directly from the world's best travel spots article. Sunshine, gorgeous waterfalls, creeks, and lakes, unexplored caves. Simply breathtaking. It wouldn't hurt that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit would be there with me. I always said I would spend time just asking "why?"
