I didn't find out until I was twenty-seven years old that I had been living by an alias my entire life. Once I found out, I could have changed my name to anything I wanted because I no longer had to live by my alias. I chose to go by the alias that I had always known. When I turned 40, I chose a new name because I reinvented myself from the person I had to be my entire life and broke free of society's expectations of me. (yes, this is all true)

I am hoping to finish Kim Richardson's Shadow and Light series. After that, Nora Roberts The Chronicle of One series and various children's books. I read a lot of children's books so I can find precious ones to share with my Great Niece.

I recently read "The Gribble's Gift: Tanglemire Forest No Ordinary World". The world the author created in this book intrigues me so much. I would love to go visit there and hang out with the Gribbles.

The best thing is watching your imagination come alive right in front of your eyes. I enjoy letting the story flourish and not just having a small thought and dismissing it. I allow my mind to wander as if I am walking through a field.

When I have writer's block its usually because my mind is on worldly things. I use my blog to write out the things that are on my mind. Once my mind is free from those things, the creative side comes out and I'm able to write again.

I am currently working on a children's book for my father. This book is a tribute to him and all his grandchildren and one great grandchild. The relationship he has with each of them and the lessons they learn by spending time with them are priceless. I believe every child needs a grandparent in their life. That relationship is priceless.

Write! No matter what your doing, write. If you don't have your computer in front of you, turn on the recorder on your phone and say out loud the thoughts that are going on in your head. You can transcribe them later. I have been riding in the car and a thought came to my head. I asked Siri to record and it later turned into an idea for a book. Just don't let a single idea escape. Some of them will not turn out, but others will be miraculous stories.

My most recent book is based on true life experience. My sister and I have been trying to bring awareness to the drug crisis in our country and how Recovery is possible. I wrote the book as part of therapy for her and hoping that even if it touches one person, it will help them come to terms with getting clean.
