When I was a kid, I saw what I thought was a UFO. Now I know it was 'just' a plane of unknown type, probably military. From below it looked a lot like the Space Shuttle would, in fact. What was that plane?

I wouldn't travel to any of them. I think that it was S.M. Stirling who noted that 'adventure' means 'somebody else, in deep ...ah, trouble, far away.' I would probably try to leave at the earliest opportunity, and destroy whatever mechanism that had tried to strand me there.

Right now I'm working through Devolution and Normandy '44 from my list; I figure that there'll be a few more when I'm done, but those are the ones currently on my radar.

I take a nap. ...And I'm up against minimum word count requirements. Fine, I take a long, decadent nap, my head nestled in sybaritic languor against the pillow. Or I eat something, or do something else. I don't often get writer's block, and I have a sneaking suspicion that... well. Never mind.

A short story for my Patreon and my next book, which will not be set in the same universe as this one. On the other hand, I have a manuscript done that is set in the same universe. On the gripping hand, I still have to finish up the Kickstarter rewards.

I don't get inspired. It's more or less a habit at this point. I'm happier when I've written something that day.

I've always wanted to write a pulp detective novel, but I didn't know enough about the most common historical settings. So I decided to invent my own! It's much more efficient that way, and you don't have to do nearly as much research.
