Keep trying, but don't pin your hopes on your book doing well. Most won't. I don't imagine any of mine ever will. But I love writing, so I'm going to keep doing it for me. And if I end up doing it for anyone else too it will be a happy accident.

Every now and then inspiration for a story just hits me. I'll see something like a fact, or some information about a historical event and think 'how has no-one ever written a book about that?' And then it's just about finding the right way to tell the story.

I'm not sure what triggered the idea to write it exactly, but I remember wanting to up my creative output, and writing a story a week seemed a good way to do that.
