Hope you are keeping well. I was back in Armagh - albeit very briefly - a couple of years ago. Any travelling I do these days is mainly around Australia.

I'm not so sure about being a "writer". Sounds pretty pretentious to moi. I just tell stories with words and get on with it. Can't really help it. It's something I have to do.

Don't write about yourself, or you'll bore everybody to tears. Observe the real world, and then play it back in characters which your readers can relate to.

I'm currently working on a collection of short stories called 'Dark Patterns - The Industrialization of the Australian Landscape'. Some of the stories have already appeared elsewhere - in The New Philosopher, for example.... But there's lots more.

I was inspired by my kids - telling them stories. And I've always loved to write. It's almost a compulsion. I need to write to get things out of my system.
