dealing with loss and grief. that really inspired a lot of the book, and the aftermath of it too, how families coped with losing a loved one, how the dynamics shift, how tensions arise, how everything turns from land to sea after the death of a loved one, and how the tide shifts as night falls upon the waters.

Hmm, not exactly fictional, but I would go to New York, (set in A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara) and visit Lispenard Street, and I would have lunch with Jude St. Francis, and give him a tight hug.

A novel. i cannot say much, for most of the story is under wraps, but its a celebration of life, of identity, and of expression. I am so proud of it.

well, lets see... I usually wallow in solitude, listening to sad songs, and I somehow think I've lost my touch with writing, but then I give it a few days, and I pick up a pen and write on paper, and I usually end up in a state of surprise.

his computer crashed in the middle of his writing session. he lost all working files, which he forgot to back up.

I watch movies, read more books, and listen to more music. I try to get out of house and isolation, (as difficult as that is) to look at the world again; I think it is very important to look at the world to be able to conjure up scenes and chapters, especially while writing realistic fiction.
