I listen to a lot of music. If I need the inspiration to write about something sad, then I listen to sad love songs. If I need to write something fun, then I listen to happy songs. Sometimes reading poetry helps inspire the mind as well.

I was taking a writing class at the time. The exercise was to write for 30 seconds anything that came to mind and just write. That started the first sentence in the book. I am a music lover so I thought why not put something about music in the book. My son was skateboarding a lot back then and I had been watching a lot of videos with him about the topic. After that, the book kind of took off on its own
