I set myself unrealistic deadlines. Like I need to write 50,000 words in a few weeks or something similar. The stress of the deadline actually makes me wright insanely hard and I usually manage to surpass the unrealistic deadline. It's probably not the most healthy way to write, but if I don't set any deadline I procrastinate and nothing gets done.

I was working on a video game late one night, to the point I was passing out at my desk. After I went to bed I had an extremely messed up dream where I was a NPC in the game I was making and if I did anything wrong the game would torture me. I woke up and immediately jotted down notes about my dream and over the course of the next few weeks it became my book.
