Amanda Aggie I take a break and come back. Sometimes I listen to music, read, or watch TV, really anything that gets my brain off the book until something sparks and inspires me to finish the story.
Amanda Aggie The best part about being a writer is creating these amazing worlds of fiction but at the same time seem so real to you. It's like creating friends that you will take with you forever. I love hearing about what others think of my creations and how they fall in love with the characters as much as I do!
Amanda Aggie My advice is to WRITE. It's hard at first to push yourself to do it and the task is daunting. However, once you hold that first published book in your hands, everything is worth it! Don't fear what others will say about your work or how it will do in sales. You simply will never know how you will do until you try it! Lastly, write because you love to, not because it is a job. If you're doing it for the money, it will be agonizing! If you're doing it because you want people to read your stories or because you love the process, you'll be happy with the outcome regardless!
Amanda Aggie I am currently working on a series! It's a secret but I am hoping to have it done soon. If you would like to know more in the near future, follow my Facebook page www.Facebook.com/AmandaAggieAuthor I will be posting information about the release date there!
Amanda Aggie My mother actually inspired it! She ended up having this crazy dream about a serial killer group who owned a hotel and I took that idea and made a story out of it.
In her dream, well really more like a nightmare, she had traveled and checked in at a hotel where serial killers were killing everyone who entered without cause. She told me of this dream years ago and it stuck with me.
I ended up creating the Dawson family who are the main characters in 'Beyond the Palms' and making them relatable to the reader. My goal was to make you care about what happens to them as they went on this family vacation that at first seemed innocent, and then turns into a battle of life or death as they figure out what the hotel they are staying at really is. I guess I should say, who really owns it and what happens there. As they put the pieces together it becomes a apparent that they need to get out but it might be too late for that to happen.

Amanda Aggie I have always loved reading and over the years have come up with many ideas that I feel would have made amazing books! My friends and family have always told me that I should write books because they would love to read my stories. I recently decided to take my love of books to the next level and begin writing and that started with my first book 'Beyond the Palms' that released in April of 2020.
I would say in the scheme of things that my favorite authors are who inspired me to write. Without them, I wouldn't have fallen in love with reading and it wouldn't have even been an afterthought.
