Wendy Bayne That is easy and something I have thought about a great deal.
Who else was involved in the beating of my then 22-year-old son in 2003?
He was left to die, but instead, after being found, he lay comatose for almost six weeks and was permanently brain injured after being robbed at an ATM.
The police were sure that over and above the one arrested and charged, that others were involved in the attempted murder.
Wendy Bayne There are so many. I would love to enter Jane Austen's world with Mr. Darcy the first character I ever had a crush on. More likely though I suppose my first choice would be Rivendell the home of the elvish king Elrond in Lord of the Rings. I love to observe people so I would pretty much just sit and watch the elves, listen to their music and read.
Wendy Bayne I play solitaire on my laptop and listen to music. And I resort to dark chocolate if it is really bad.
I write almost everyday but I make sure I take at least one day a week off from writing to give my brain and fingers a rest.
Wendy Bayne Knowing that someone enjoyed my story even if it is only family.
Wendy Bayne Simply you never know until you try but you should write to please yourself first. It should never be about money it should be about the desire to share your story.
Don't force it.
Don't take rejection to heart.
Wendy Bayne Believe it or not it took me some time to get the nerve up to send in my first book to a publisher. So I am currently working on book twelve in a series that follows the lives and antics of the characters from book one.
Wendy Bayne Most times it only takes a cup a tea in the morning. But seriously it is almost as if my characters are nudging me to continue writing. No matter the success of this book I will continue to write.
Wendy Bayne I have always loved historical fiction and after I retired from Nursing I read so much that I found myself thinking I can do this.
My family and the people I had worked with over the years and patients I had cared for became my inspiration. It was their personalities and the way they phrased things they led me to believe if I mixed them together set them in a time period that I loved to read about I might be able to if nothing else leave a little something of myself behind a legacy of sorts for my sons.
