I watched a TED talk by Sue Klebold who is the mother of one of the Columbine High school shooters. I was interested in exploring a story from the perspective of someone who was a family member of someone who had orchestrated a mass shooting.

If I have writer's block, for me, it usually means that maybe the story doesn't have a future. If I can't see how I can go any further I'll often go and work on another project.

Usually, an idea will just suddenly pop into my head and it will expand from there until I begin to write it down on paper.

The ability to express your imagination and get it down on paper for people to enjoy is one of the best feelings. It's even better when you are able to get positive feedback on something you've worked hard on.
