Tom Williams Disappointment in overly partisan congresses as well as divisive presidencies propelled me to pen President You. That, and my belief that politicians fail to provide citizens adequate information regarding public policy initiatives. The book was also inspired by something I remember my dad telling me: “Son, it is easy to complain. It is harder to develop solutions. And, harder still to present those solutions in some form of rational argument based on evidence.”
Tom Williams To me this is easy - I focus on areas that are of deep interest to me. Then, put pen to paper. The challenge is assembling the written thoughts into a cohesive work that is entertaining for and makes sense to the reader.
Tom Williams I am researching my father's military service during World War Two. I hope to publish this homage to him.

As a former boss advised, “Tom, there are many paths to success.”
Tom Williams Education and expansion of the mind - I always keep learning new things, confirming old thoughts, and dispelling erroneous information.
Tom Williams I set my manuscript aside, then live my life outside of writing - shop, maintain my house and yard, watch movies and television, travel, play video games, go out to dinner with friends, read books, etc. For me, those activities often generate an idea to incorporate into my work or bring to light a thought on how to proceed. Sometimes, it takes less than a day. At other times, it may take a month before the "aha" moment gets me back to my book.
Tom Williams No, not really my forte.
Tom Williams As I look through my library, the vast majority are works of non-fiction. That being said, I suppose I would enter the world of "Fahrenheit 451" as one of the saviors of books.
Tom Williams I have been re-reading all my undergraduate and graduate school books that I retained after graduation. They have provided me an interesting perspective on America today.
