Aside from promoting my new lil friend, I also perform poetry at spoken word events and open mic's around the city. Performance pieces are different than written ones, you have to choose the right poems that will not only capture the audience, but will also be easy to understand.
I'm working on a few new pieces for some upcoming shows. And, simply writing my way through life...whenever inspiration strikes! :)

I seek inspiration from my surroundings. I am fortunate enough to live in NYC, which is living and breathing with inspiration. There is an abundance of interesting people, places, and things. Central Park truly is the best spot.
Often times, I'll be wandering the city, staring at the architecture, bumping into strangers (and sparking conversations) plus stumbling into cool new places. That's when I'll be suddenly inspired.
Books, art, and statues tend to spark my metaphorical concepts for certain poems :)
