Hi David! Thank you for reaching out. Must be something in the water indeed! Greetings from the other side of the Sound. I wish you luck on Better Left Alone. If you read anything I've written I'll be interested to hear what you think.
But to answer your question, well, this isn't really a punt because I genuinely think this. But well, everything does. I manage to see jeopardy in almost everything I see.

Hi Kay! I'm close! I started my final review of Mise En Place last night. Cover is done. Just gotta get it final reviewed, formatted, and out. Hopefully by New Year's! Thank you so much for your question and your support. It means so much.

Hi, Sarah. Wow. That is uh.... that is quite a coincidence! I'm based up in the Seattle area. I've been to Portland a handful of times, but never lived there. We don't know each other. I went back through the history of my drafts because your question made me pretty curious. "Sarah" was her first name since the beginning. I originally had a different surname in the first draft I created WAAAAY back in 2002. In my 2006 re-write (still way before the modern self-publishing), I had changed the surname to Vinson. I don't recall exactly how I came up with it, but I have a vague recollection of not being at all happy with her original last name and then changing it by looking in a phone book (though not an OR phone book I can assure you). I assure you it is pure coincidence. I hope you are having a good day.

That's amazing! I actually grew up in Bellevue with a different maiden name, so definitely coincidence, but a pretty incredible one. I very much look forward to reading Immunity-- thank you for contributing to the wonderful world of fiction and for creating a little frenzied mystery among my friends for a couple days!

Hi Alan. The Pacific Northwest, up in the northwest of the US.
Jeffrey Caston
Two things. 1. It is nice (and sometimes necessary for my sanity) to have something I have at least some semblance of control over. When everything else in the world seems out of whack or beyond my ability to help, I have worlds and events and anything else I set my mind to that allows my imagination to just go for it. It doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes I have some idea or a person in mind and then it is like I need to collaborate with that fictional character to reach a point of what they truly are and need to become. I definitely found that to be the case with Dr. Abel in Immunity. I'm also finding that to be the case with another character I am developing now, the Raven.
2. It is just such a great release. I have so many ideas I want to get out. Sometimes I feel like I will lose my mind if I don't try to write about them and get them out. Because there is always something new percolating between my ears!

Like almost all my ideas, I let my nightmares guide me.

I'm currently working on two projects. The first is a novel to continue elements of my Horrific Northwest multiverse, introducing some new characters, primarily, Calvin Drake, ad continuing threads of others, such as Susan Stewart and the Raven. The second is a standalone separate horror novel set in Los Angeles.

Marianne:
Thank you very much for your question and your support! Yes, this is my first novel, although I have a few more in the "writing pipeline" as we speak.
I sincerely hope you and your coworker enjoy it.
