I will admit that it is not always easy, especially when I haven't seen many sales or reviews. But I think what helps is that I like my characters. They are alive to me, and although you might think this a bit silly, I want to know what is going to happen to them next.

I used to teach. One day a month we would have a day with no formal class. I called it a "what if" day. I still have those kinds of days. Who put Excalibur in the stone. What if there really was something evil lurking in the dark. Things like that. I like what if situations.

I have begun work on a new novel based on a short story I wrote a few years ago. The title is The Riddle of the Storm and I hope to have it ready by the summer.
