I simply don't deal with this issue, but I won't work when I am hungry, angry, lonely or tired so maybe that's why. Circulation is always an issue when you sit at a desk all day. Get up and walk your dogs and enjoy the sunshine.
Also, my life gets in my way constantly, so I am usually eager to get to my writing.

Unless you are absolutely obsessed with being a writer don't do it. If you are obsessed, follow your passion and become the best writer you can be. You have much to learn about yourself in this profession.

(view spoiler)[I am having a blast working on a book titled "A Work in Progress." This was just a generic title to call the electronic file something, but the title is so indicative of the plot, that it might just stick. My story is about Laura Haskell, an author of several Fantasy titles, who falls in love with the man who comes to her hotel to document the ghosts. The secondary plot is the fantasy novel she is writing about another place with two moons called Merth. The protagonist, Aadya starts out as a peon "breeder" who aspires to be a warrior and to have her voice heard at the tribal counsel. She meets Poma and ends up marrying him and becoming a leader of the kingdom. Their daughter, Galen, is a gifted healer who will save their species. And that's all I share because you really need to read the book. I aspire to have it finished by mid 2020. Will let you know of course when it will be launched. (hide spoiler)]

I think I was born with the idea that I would someday write novels. Reading carried me through the rough bumps in the road while growing up. I do remember being challenged by my First Grade Teacher, Ms. Powers to read the most books that year. I was tied with Capi Peck then a read just one more book for a total of 101 books. You can't be a writer without loving reading.

(view spoiler)[I live in Eureka Springs now, but literally I have visited and loved it here since the mid 1970s, and, with my husband, spent part of our honeymoon here. It is a magical Victorian village filled with quirky characters, thus the inspiration for some of my the characters in my book. (hide spoiler)]
