Hey Pat, thank you for reaching out and sharing. I absolutely did admit to my addictions a few times throughout the book and as for sobriety, it was the series of smaller victories over the course of years such as meditating every day, daily gratitude practice, forgiving myself when I slipped early on, focusing on my purpose which when I found out my wife was pregnant with our first we adopted a zero-tolerance policy. I found a great therapist, I reached out to people I wronged, and my wife might be considered my sponsor so even tho I didn't enter a 12-step program I feel I checked most of the same boxes. I might have healed faster and less painfully had I entered one I don't know.
