As a pessimist, I always think ”what if...?” This is how I get a lot of my ideas.
What if - with a twist. Think about what if, and turn something innocent into something sinister, and then make it worse.

For me, writing is a great outlet after having a rough day. No matter how bad my day was, my characters will always have it worse. And after taking my frustration out on my characters, I tend to feel a lot better. Creative therapy helps a lot.

Write every day, is the main advice. But, I also suggest planning. Start with a small problem, then watch your characters deal with it. I always keep in mind, the phrase we’ve been hearing a lot lately. Things will get a whole lot worse before it gets better. So, give your characters hell. 😁

At the moment, I am working on two novels. I'm currently writing, ’Grieving in Blood’ and ’A Sister’s Warpath’.

When my motivation is lacking, I try to find somewhere new to write. I switch to the table from my sofa, go in the hallway or into my bedroom, and listen to some music. Music and a change of scene really helps.

I got the idea for The Last Gift When I was opening my mothers day present. It was small and pretty.
