I first had the idea to write this novel right before covid hit. My wife always tells me that I'm a very loyal person. That I'm more loyal to people, my job, etc, than they are to me. So i thought that would make a great idea for a cautionary story. What happens when you are more loyal to friends, family, careers, money, than they are to you. Why is so hard to let go of broken, toxic relationships and situations. Why is it so hard to move on, let go of the past. Loyal to a Fault explores this from the street angle, and the deadly consequnce that comes with it. The three main characters of this book, Dez, Chops, and Pia and going to learn this lesson the hard way. And the ending will blow your mind.

The first house I ever bought was broken into right after I moved in. I always thought it was either somebody I knew, or somebody that was watching me. Both are disturbing, and both would be the start of a great story.

Find your true voice and trust it. And don't get discouraged by the process and technical aspects. Just get that great story inside your head on paper, you can figure out the rest later.

A couple of things. One is creating your own world and watching characters in your head come to life. Next is having a great plot and listening to people guess how my story will end. But they don't have a clue. LOL
