Nabil Shabka Having someone quote something from your book in a conversation - when they have no idea you wrote it. It means it resonated.
Nabil Shabka I didn't approach the book with a beginning and end. I knew what I wanted to cover but not the order. I've always followed the news and trends and when I see something that grabbed my attention, I would write about.

Once I had all the pieces written, I then orgnaised them and stitched them together into an order that I thought would be clear for people to understand.
Nabil Shabka I've always had a global view on things as while I was born in the UK, I grew up and lived in 8 countries and did a degree in International Studies (international politics and economics) in the US, so I tend to try and approach and evaluate things from multiple perspectives. I have rich and poor friends so have seen things from both ends of the scale first hand.

I felt that people should know how money works in order for them to make informed decsisions and stimulate debate.

Over the years I was often asked to explain things in finance or politics to friends as they felt my explanations were easy to understand. And then when the 2008 crash happened, I began to see the increasing financial inequality and abuse of power by the wealthy so I thought about putting pen to paper, And my Dad pushed me to do it. So I did.
