James Wade I'm currently working on my third novel (untitled), while waiting for my debut novel (All Things Left Wild) to be released in June of 2020, and my sophomore novel (River, Sing Out) to be released in 2021-- both from Blackstone Publishing.

James Wade The writing itself is the best thing. The process. It's an exploration of self, a wandering manifesto of personal philosophies and anxieties. It's therapeutic and frustrating. A maddening and beautiful trade that we are damn lucky to call our own.
James Wade Reading great writers is inspiring (and a little intimidating).
Being in nature is also a reliable catalyst for artistic thought.
But those are simply supplements. I believe writers must be able to write beyond their inspiration.
It's a discipline, a tradecraft, and as such it demands a certain tedious perfectionism, monotonous working hours, and often quite uninspiring writing sessions.
James Wade Write through it. Sometimes you have to work your way through the woods to enjoy a nice view.

Read as often as you can.
Be kind to everyone you meet.
Writing is a difficult craft, and a difficult industry; but if you enjoy the process, you'll be fine.
