M.M. Crumley Patrick,
Thank you for reaching out. I'm glad to hear you're intrigued by my novels. Regnum is a great book, however, you might find it confusing if you started with it. That said, it will certainly introduce you to the world.
In answer to your specific question, Andrew is not gay. In fact, if you have read "Setting Things Straight" in Regnum, Janey Falke is Andrew's wife. It wasn't explained in Regnum because if a reader has already read The Immortal Doc Holliday Series Book 1, they already know about Janey and Andrew, hence the confusion. :)
The Legend of Andrew Rufus is a coming of age story. When it starts, Andrew is a thirteen-year-old modern boy, and he is shifted to the past by magic. He joins, for lack of a better word, a group of hero cowboys, and through his time with them learns what it means to be a man and a hero. If I do say so myself, which I do, it's a great story, with lots of character, action, humor, and emotion.
Thanks again! Hope you have a fantastic day!

M.M. Crumley Hi Ryan,
Yes the ninjas will be covered in book seven (p.s. it is awesome). And as for Tetrarch, what I may or may not have planned usually doesn't much matter to Doc, he tends to go off script and do whatever he wants. Hope that answered your question. So glad you are into the series! Book seven releases this March (so like super soon) and all your ninja related questions will be fully answered I promise. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day!
M.M. Crumley Hi Phil! Thank you for your interest in my books! If it were me I think I would read the first four Doc Holliday books then switch over and read the whole seven book Andrew Rufus series and then continue with the rest of the Doc series. I think this is the most fun way to read the two series so you get information from both series woven together. I hope this helps and happy reading! M.M. Crumley Hi Dave! I don't want to spoil anything for you but I can say that Doc and Andrew meet after the events of Andrew book 7... I don't want to ruin anything so I can't say more. I'm so glad you are enjoying the books! Thank you so much!!!
M.M. Crumley Bob,
Thanks for contacting me. Although I do have a general outline and plot points for my series, I have to admit that my characters don't always fall in line with it. I mean, can you really see Doc following orders? Hope that answers your question. Have a super fantastic day!
M.M. Crumley He shouldn't have climbed the tree. He hadn't thought zombies could climb trees.
M.M. Crumley I just sit down and write. If you're not trying to control your story and make it go where you want it to go, you'll be amazed at what comes out. It's so organic and beautiful, and it's easy to keep going, letting your characters do all the work.
M.M. Crumley For me the most amazing thing about writing is getting to know my characters. It's like meeting a new friend. I never know what they're going to say or do next; they tell me. Sometimes I'm like, "Whoa, I didn't see that coming!"
M.M. Crumley Just do it. If you want to write, sit down and write. Write what comes to you. Open yourself to the ether.
M.M. Crumley I'm finishing up the final edits on the Andrew Rufus series, and waiting, quite impatiently I might add, to start up my second series again... It's gonna be good! Some characters from Andrew will reappear. It's so exciting; I can hardly wait!
M.M. Crumley Every time I step into the woods, I start thinking. You'd think I'd be looking at all the beauty, but what I'm really doing is wondering what my characters would be doing in those woods.
M.M. Crumley My husband is an amazing muse. There's actually a very long story behind Andrew Rufus, if anyone is ever interested, they can let me know!
