Set small, achievable goals. You're aiming for sustained effort, whatever that looks like to you. 250 or 2500 words a day, it doesn't matter, just do it consistently.

For me, lack of time accounts for my most common obstacle. Generally, my mind is constantly occupied mapping out my next session or conceiving new projects, thus the problem ends up being one of focus, or which idea to take down first. If I find myself lacking in ideas it usually means I need sleep.
