The original idea came to me when I was at work during my college days. There was more to the story. That much was clear to me, although I had a difficult time trying to piece it together. I started it a couple times and nothing seemed very good for me until I realized it needed a back story.

My grandparents really inspired me to write when I was thirteen years old. They gave me a small notepad and suggested I write a journal. This opened up an entirely new world for me.

I'm currently working on a book I started this year.

I deal with writer's block by free writing. I end up writing a couple paragraphs, kind of like a flash fiction. If I like it, that's great, if not it is deleted. At least it gets me writing. I also write a journal every day. Writing a journal helps a lot. It helps organize my thoughts.

Write what you know and never be afraid to push the envelope and go into territories unknown. You never know what you will be able to find.
